During your leisure time as a volunteer you can undertake some of the tour activities. In Livingstone there are a number tour activities which are done by different tour operators at a fee and the following are some of the activities :


The Victoria falls area is rapidly becoming known as the “Adventure centre” of southern Africa, with various adrenaline sports, unmatched scenery of breathtaking proportions, and many other leisure options for outdoor lovers.


  Whitewater Rafting ::  

White rafting through the Batoka Gorge…At low water between August and January, this is internationally recognised as the best one day rafting in the world! It’s a grade 5 river with huge rapids and waves, an absolutely brilliant day out. Highly recommended.

  The Lion Encounter ::  
  walk with lion cubs in either Victoria Falls or Livingstone - must be booked in advance.  
  Elephant Back Trails ::  

Elephant back safaris in the Mosi O Tunya National park .Take a ride on the wild side with an elephant ride or just walk with then as they wonder in the bush.

  Upper Zambezi Canoeing ::  

Canoeing on the upper Zambezi, stunning full or half day at easy with the river and wildlife. This event is highly recommended.

  Zambezi River Cruises ::  

Sunset Cruise up the Zambezi River between Mosi-oa-tunya National Park(Zambia) Often there are sightings of giraffe,elephant,rhino,hippos and crocodiles,zebra and various antelope. Snacks on the boat and full barbecue dinner afterwards.

The Victoria Falls Bungi Bridge is 111 Mtrs of pure African adrenaline and still one of the highest bungi bridges in the world! The bridge itself forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia and has it's own little piece of history for being a major part of Rhodes' Cape to Cairo railway. After screaming, crying and thanking God that the elastic is still tied to your ankles, you'll bounce around to the sites of Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge.

It protects 2 white rhino plus various antelope, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and Elephants

  Cultural Village Tour ::  

Chief Mukuni invites visitors to his village, home to the Leya people. This is a unique opportunity to see how the local people live in a working village, not one built for tourists. Approximately 6000 people live here and a visit is a fascinating insight into their life style. A member of the village shows visitors around and they can see how traditional huts are built and decorated, take a look inside, meet the residents and see the locals at work.

  Victoria Falls Tour ::  

A natural phenomenon and one of the seven natural Wonders of the World, the Victoria Falls is an immense curtain of water cascading over 100m. Around 550 million litres over the lip every minute, at peak flow this increases to 750 million litres. Around the Falls is rainforest sustained by the spray of the Falls with some plant species rarely found elsewhere in Zambia or Zimbabwe.

During peak flow (January to June) the Zambian side of the Falls is the most spectacular and there are walkways to look out points and across the swaying Knife Edge bridge.

  Chobe Day Trips ::  

Chobe is a unique wonderland full of mystery, endless diversity and game in abundance.

Clients are collected in the morning and transported to the border post, then across the mighty Zambezi heading to where the borders of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana meet in the middle of the river.  The meeting of four countries is one of only two places on the globe where this is possible. 

At Kasane, Botswana, clients commence a river cruise down the Chobe River.  This riverfront area is renowned for its large herds of elephant, buffalo, variety of antelope, hippo, crocodile and a myriad of birds.

The afternoon includes a scenic wilderness game drive in Chobe National Park with a return to Livingstone by Sunset.
